High Output – Paul Mundy Hand Injury
Paul started work for Jarvis Rail in 2001 on BCS 1 as a main operator and now works for Network rail on BCS4 system also as a main operator.
At the time of the accident he was setting up the cutter bar chain at the start of the shift. The accident has affected both his personal and work life, and eight months after the accident is still on light duties due to ongoing sensitivity in my finger.
High Output- John Pencott Ballast Dust
John has worked in the Rail industry for 15 years and his current role is lead H&S representative for the RMT. John’s father who was a miner died needlessly from pneumoconiosis as they were never protected from the dust in the old days. We must ensure we protect the railway workforce to the best of our ability.

James has worked on the railway for 15 years starting at Jarvis Rail and Fastline then on to Ameycolas and now Network Rail. He was working as a Machine Operator when this accident occurred.

Gary has worked on the railway for 8 years maintaining the High output ballast cleaner system 3. An accident he was involved in has made him very aware of using correct processes and the things I must do to keep myself safe and injury free.

In this incident Dave talks about the incident that occurred when he was working as a Delivery Unit Manager. Whilst the incident did not directly involve Dave, it had a huge impact on his entire team of over 480 people, families and friends, as well as Dave himself.

Kevin Hughes was working for Amey COLAS JV on a Core TRS site at Patney, when a near miss occurred . At the time Kevin had been working with High Output for over 3 years, and just like everyone of you reading this he thought ‘that will never happen to me.’
