The SMTH Industry Competence Management Standardisation project will deliver a standard single suite of training and assessment materials for Signal Maintenance Testing. The SMTH ATW will be managed and recorded in the Sentinel system giving a consistent approach for the first time across the Rail Industry. This page contains a range of materials which show why change is so important, what you will need to do to support your organisation, colleagues and yourself to successfully transition to a new way of working.
Working collaboratively with the wider Rail Industry, Network Rail is leading a project to improve how SMTH training is taught, assessed and assured. Part of the project will make SMTH a standard industry competence under a common framework. As part of the workstream this video is being used to remind those taking part in SMTH training and assessments and the wider industry why it is so important.
