Facing Points are points which have signalled train movements over them in the facing direction which is the diverging direction where there may be a choice of destination. N.B. only one destination may be valid for a signalled route for example at trap points or at the end of a single or bi-directional line. Facing points may also have trailing train movements signalled over them. Trailing points only have converging train movements signalled over them.
