PACE EN1: Environment and Social Appraisal (ESA) Tool
The ESA tool is designed to help identify and manage the environment and social risks and opportunities associated with projects. It forms part of Network Rail’s PACE Product Index, and is a requirement of Network Rail’s standard NR/L2/ENV/015: Environment and Social Minimum Requirements – Design and Construction.

The Environment and Social Management Plan template provides Network Rail teams and suppliers with a mandatory template to address Environment and Social Performance themes following use of the ESA.
The template has been produced to meet the minimum requirements of NR/L2/ENV/015: Environment and Social Minimum Requirements: Design and Construction.
