The theme set by the World Federation for Mental Health this year is ‘young people and mental health in a changing world’. World Mental Health Day provides an opportunity for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, what is being done currently and what more could be done, in a changing world, to make mental health care a reality for everyone. This movement is based around removing mental health stigma and discrimination. It focuses on changing the way people think and act about mental health problems.
The ‘in your corner’ poster (attached to the right) can be used around the workplace to prompt people to stop, think and act. Other resources are available on how to start conversations, becoming a champion, and other stories here at Time to Change
