Lessons Learnt
The Network Rail Investment Projects Central HSE team are now producing ‘Lessons Learnt’ publications following events which have led to Network Rail Formal investigations or where significant points of learning have resulted from a local investigation.
These new templates will enable us to share the important lessons learnt as a result of an accident or incident investigation before the report is formalised and ready for publication and distribution which can sometimes take some months.
We believe these lessons will be of value for all involved in project delivery and not just safety professionals, ultimately designed to aid prevention of events of a similar nature happening again elsewhere.
If you are involved in an incident investigation where you feel the industry would benefit from sharing the lessons learnt please make your DCP aware and if agreed appropriate send your draft to the Network Rail Investment Projects Central HSE team for review.
