Driver Safety
Road safety is as important as safety on the track.
You may be surprised to learn that half of drivers on company business are involved in a collision every year. The incident rate is 30-40% higher, per mile travelled, for those driving fleet vehicles.
Whether driver or passenger, we are all responsible for our own personal safety. This means:
- ensuring vehicles are roadworthy
- using seat belts and other safety equipment properly
- making sure the driver is fit to drive
- driving with care and attention
- helping the driver wherever you can.
